Vishwak Sen Says No One Supports Him, Except The Audience
By: Tupaki Desk | 16 Aug 2021 1:34 PM GMTVishwak Sen managed to build good buzz and anticipation to his recent release, Paagal with his exciting and attention grabbing speech at the film's pre-release event which was held two days ahead of the film's theatrical release. The young actor said he would change his name if the film doesn't fare well at the box office. This statement went viral on social media and it kept Paagal in the news. Consequently, the film got off to a good start at the box office and posted pretty good numbers on its opening day. Despite rather weak reviews, the film did particularly well in terms of box office collections. The makers have even organized a grand success meet event in Hyderabad today in a bid to keep the film in the news on its first Monday at the box office.
Speaking at the event, Vishwak made a series of interesting comments, which again catch the attention of Telugu cinema followers. He says that no one in the industry supports him except for the audience.
"These are unprecedented times and my film faced numerous hurdles ahead of its release. I persuaded my producers Bekkem garu and Dil Raju garu to release the film in theaters in such a short span. I wasn't sure if we had enough time for promotions, but we took the gamble and it paid off. Paagal collected Rs 6.5 crores gross worldwide in its opening weekend and that too in these Covid-affected times. Incidentally, a few people tried to bring my film down even before the morning shows. I now understand that no one supports me, except for Telugu audiences. I am indebted to the audiences for their support. I sincerely thank them for stepping out to watch Paagal in theaters.
Vishwak says Paagal collected Rs 6.5 crores gross in the opening weekend, which is over 40% more than what his previous film, HIT collected in its opening weekend. He seemed happy about Paagal's performance at the ticket counters.
Now, Vishwak's comments that no one in the industry is supporting him are catching the attention of netizens. He seems to have mastered the art of catching the attention of grabbing everyone's attention with speeches.
