'Akhil - The Power of Jua' has been a nightmare for everyone associated with the project.
In a recent interview, VV Vinayak broke his silence on the disastrous result of Akhil's launch pad as Hero. 'We have shot it in an uncompromising manner as per the requirement of the story. There is absolutely no fault in taking and I have given my best. Once the audience don't connect with the story, Everything looks non-sense and even some good elements go unnoticed. That's what happened in the case of 'Akhil - The Power of Jua'. It's our bad fortune that we liked such a story then. I suffered for 2-3 months after it release. I stopped going out. Frankly, I didn't worry about my career or bad name but pained by the fact that it's the launch pad of Akhil. I sacrificed my remuneration and compensated the losses incurred by few of the Distributors who backed me since several years,' discloses the Filmmaker.
Interestingly, VV Vinayak wishes to work with Akhil one more time so that he could deliver a solid hit at least in the second attempt. 'I should give a hit to Akhil. It's my responsibility,' he says.
