What happened to Machu Vishnu's D2?

Not so long ago, Manchu Vishnu grandly announced D2, the sequel to his super hit comedy entertainer, Dhee. This project was announced with Srinu Vaitla as the director, who had previously helmed Dhee.

Vishnu and Vaitla vowed to deliver a comical roller coaster with D2 and Vishnu announced that he himself will produce this project.

But for some odd reason, there has been no update on this D2 project for a really long time now. No one is even talking about it and even the makers appear to have put it on the back burner for reasons best known to them.

Vishnu is currently busy with Gaali Nageswhara Rao which has Payal Rajput and Sunny Leone in important roles. This project is in filming phase now and Vishnu is working on the same.

While many expected D 2 to be Vishnu's immediate next film, there is no sound about the project. Even Vishnu has moved on and he is working on the aforementioned project. There is no update from Sreenu Vaitla either.

It is upon the makers of D2 to clarify on the project and state if it is actually happeningor if it has been shelved.
