The third wave of coronavirus has spoilt the entire schedule of Tollywood. Noted films which were supposed to hit the screens during the Sankranti season and in February were postponed as they were left with no other options. The entire film industry is hoping that things would get under control by the mid week of March. So a lot of star hero films are aiming at an April release.
Especially there is a lot of competition for April 1st. The date was first booked by superstar Mahesh Babus Sarkaru Vaari Paata. It was announced long back but they postponed the release and Megastar Chiranjeevis Acharya occupied that date. This social drama was one of the biggest films in Tollywood and there are a lot of expectations on it. But sources say that this film is also getting delayed and Pawan Kalyans Bheemla Nayak will take its place. As per sources Pawans film will be hitting the screens on 1st April.
While the fans are excited about it nothing has been made official. Trade pundits claim that April 1st is the perfect date as some films arrive during the end of March making people walk into theatres again. 1st April is suitable for a star hero film as it would have a good run at the box office before pan Indian movies like Radhe Shyam or RRR hits the screens. Let us wait and see who occupies this spot.
