What Is The Solution For The Heroine Problem?

There is a scarcity of heroines in Tollywood. Just like how the population of men is more than women in this world, Tollywood is facing the same problem as both young heroes as well as senior heroes are finding it tough to sign a perfect heroine. The audience always wants happening beauties or star heroines beside their heroes which means that they cannot work with any normal actress. This is indirectly affecting the result of the movies too.

This is the main reason why one or two heroines are in total demand. Young beauty Sreeleela is the best example of it. All she did was two movies. While 'Pelli SandaD' was a failure, 'Dhamaka' became a blockbuster despite the routine content. It is Sreeleela's energy, charm and glamour that played a main part in these films getting good collections irrespective of the talk. Understanding this, the producers are willing to spend heavily on this actress. She is signing projects left right and centre because she is acting beside young talents like Naveen Polishetty and Vaisshnav Tej while working alongside seniors like Mahesh Babu and Pawan Kalyan at the same time.

Till a few months back, only Pooja Hegde and Rashmika Mandanna used to be the options for big heroes. But Pooja is suffering with back-to-back disasters while Rashmika is ignoring South and focusing only on North movies. Heroines like Mehreen and Raashi Khanna are not getting good offers and their graph fell down drastically. The same is the case in Tamil as Ajith is working with Honey Rose in his next while Vijay is working with Trisha in his upcoming 'Leo'.

Experts say that a talent hunt needs to be done in a proper way with some patience. They are questioning why couldn't spend time on fresh talent instead of bringing Bollywood beauties like Kiara Advani, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor, and Deepika Padukone for pan-Indian flavor. Heroines like Anushka, Rashmika, Krithi Shetty, Anupama Parameswaran, Keerthy Suresh, Sai Pallavi and others have hailed from Karnataka and Kerala. There is a lot of talent down South and the filmmakers need to go ahead with proper planning as it is tough for everyone to work with Sreeleela.
