No one wants to leave the chance of working with Megastar Chiranjeevi. He is one of the biggest icons of South Indian cinema and was the highest-paid actor in India at the peak of his career. Any filmmaker would jump in joy if he gets a chance to direct Megastar. During the pre-release meet of 'Ghani', Kannada superstar Upendra said that he was offered a chance to direct Megastar during the 90s but couldn't do it.

Going into the details, Upendra said the got a chance to make a film with Megastar while he was doing 'Omkaram' in Telugu. Ashwini Dutt was supposed to produce that film but Upendra couldn't do it. The Kannada star says that he regrets that even today.

Speaking about his connection with the Mega family, he stated that he acted with Nagababu in his first Telugu film 'Oke Maata'. He was later re-introduced in Telugu with Allu Arjun's 'S/o Satyamurthy'. Now, he is acting with Varun Tej in 'Ghani'. He explained that he okayed the film within a few seconds and he is very confident about the content of the film.

He praised Varun Tej's hard work and dedication. He stated that he watched 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' and Varun looked completely different in this film which shocked him. Upendra's humble nature and giving respect to youngsters have won the hearts of everyone.

'Ghani' is a sports drama that has Saiee Manjrekar playing the female lead. Kannada star Upendra and Bollywood senior star Suniel Shetty will be seen playing crucial roles in this project. Fans are eagerly waiting for this film to hit the screens. It is the 10th film in Varun Tej's career and Kiran Korrapati is making his directorial debut with this crazy project.

Sidhu Mudda and Allu Bobby have bankrolled this project under Renaissance Pictures and Allu Bobby Company banners. Happening music composer Thaman is working on the music while George C Williams is the director of photography. Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor for this sports drama while Nadhiya, Naveen Chandra and others play crucial roles. 'Ghani' is all set to hit the big screens on 8th April.
