No one wants to leave the chance of working with Megastar Chiranjeevi. He is one of the biggest icons of South Indian cinema and was the highest-paid actor in India at the peak of his career. During the pre-release meet of 'Ghani', Kannada superstar Upendra said that he was offered a chance to direct Megastar during the 90s but couldn't do it.
Going into the details, Upendra said the got a chance to make a film with Megastar while he was doing 'Omkaram' in Telugu. Ashwini Dutt was supposed to produce that film but Upendra couldn't do it. The Kannada star says that he regrets that even today.
Speaking about his connection with the Mega family, he stated that he acted with Nagababu in his first Telugu film 'Oke Maata'. He was later re-introduced in Telugu with Allu Arjun's 'S/o Satyamurthy'. Now, he is acting with Varun Tej in 'Ghani'. He explained that he okayed the film within a few seconds and he is very confident about the content of the film.
He praised Varun Tej's hard work and dedication. He stated that he watched 'Gaddalakonda Ganesh' and Varun looked completely different in this film which shocked him. Upendra's humble nature and giving respect to youngsters have won the hearts of everyone.
'Ghani' is a sports drama that has Saiee Manjrekar playing the female lead. Kannada star Upendra and Bollywood senior star Suniel Shetty will be seen playing crucial roles in this project.
