his year most of the days we had to stay inside our homes and work from home mostly due to the pandemic. We got so used to staying at home these days that going outside has become a luxury. As even New Year's Eve this year falls on a weekend, sadly for employees, but good for film business, here are the releases that are aiming to capture box office before the storm of RRR in Telugu states.
Theatrical releases for New Year's Eve Weekend
December 31st releases
Arjuna Phalguna (Telugu)
Sree Vishnu is coming with this film after Raja Raja Chora this year to test his luck at the box office for the second time.
Rana Daggubati's 1945 (Telugu)
Rana Daggubati starred in this film with Satya Siva as director. C. Kalyan produced the film in Tamil and Telugu. In the movie, Rana will be seen as an INA agent. Movie will be released without much promotion.
Detective Satyabhama (Telugu)
Sonia Aggarwal and Ravi Varma starrer Detective Satyabhama is releasing this weekend.
Anthahpuram (Telugu)
Anathahpuram is the Telugu dubbed version of Tamil hit film Aranmanai 3. Aranmanai 1 released as Chandrakala and became a hit. Raashi Khanna, Arya added to the cast of Aranmanai series this time and Andrea Jeremiah played the role of a ghost.
Vikram (Telugu)
Vikram is a Telugu film starring Nagavarma and Divya Rao as leads. Suresh Prasad composed music for the film and Hari Chandan directed the film.
Jersey (Hindi)
Shahid Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur with Pankaj Kapoor remade the Telugu classic Jersey with same director Gautham Tinnanuri. Movie is going to release on 31st December to capture the Hindi market during New Year's eve weekend.
1st January 2022
Induvadana (Telugu)
Induvadana stars Varun Sandesh and Farnaz Shetty in lead roles. MSR directed the film and Madhavi Adhurthi produced it. Movie is releasing on 1st January.
RGV'S Aasha Encounter (Telugu)
Aasha Encounter is a film directed by Ram Gopal Varma based on a real life gang assault incident in Telugu states.
