'Agnyaathavaasi', the last flick of Pawan Kalyan, has fetched a pre-release business of Rs 160 crore including Satellite, Music & Digital Rights. Theatrical Business alone touched Rs 125 crore-mark. Whereas, This Biggie was able to collect just close to Rs 60 crore at the Box Office. Producer, Distributors and Exhibitors lost crores because of the disastrous result.
A statement made by Pawan Kalyan at the Jana Sena Formation Day Meeting came as a shock to many. He proudly claimed his Rs 100 crore flick will generate Rs 1000 crore revenue in various forms. He even indirectly mentioned 'Baahubali' franchise as an example to say only a fraction of money generated by his movie reaches his pocket.
In reality, The revenue generated by 'Agnyaathavaasi' in various forms won't even cross Rs 100 crore. It's one and the same for the two previous flicks (Sardaar Gabbar Singh, Katamarayudu) acted by the Powerstar. Then, How could he make such a tall claim? Don't it appear silly?
