Sharing his thoughts about the controversial flick, Kota says: 'Its an unforgettable film in my career. Krishna produced the satirical movie against NTR. Initially, I was hesitant to play the lead role. Then Krishna assured Me that he will be offering roles in his every film if no one is willing to work with him after 'Mandaladeesudu'. Krishna decided to shelve the project if I'm not willing to do it'.
After the release, Kota Srinivasa Rao received a call from Devineni Nehru as they knew each other. 'I thought of killing you for playing NTR in the movie. But, I felt you have done a terrific job after watching the movie,' Nehru told to Kota.
Few days after the release of 'Mandaladeesudu', Kota Srinivasa Rao was at the Madras airport when NTR came there for dubbing of 'Brahmarshi Viswamitra'. When Kota told him that he is going to meet NTR, Vijayachander warned him about the consequences but he was adamant. Kota greeted NTR in the airport itself and it took some time for the Legendary Actor to recognize him. 'I have heard about you…Wonderful Artiste…We are all children of Nataraj…Take care of your health…God bless you,' NTR told to Kota and patted on his back before leaving.
