Who’s supposed to do Sivagami?

Among all the roles of Baahubali movie, the powerful role anyone has every played is that of Sivagami, the Queen Mother, played by Ramya Krishna. As the release date inches closer, director Rajamouli reveals who is his original choice for the role. “I’ve tried to rope in Sridevi for Sivagami’s role, but she couldn’t get into the shoes. We thought of roping in Sushmita Sen and then Tabu but they are not available. With this casting, we wanted to bring a national appeal to the film from a business point of view”, said Rajamouli. Finally Ramya Krishna has taken the role and Rajamouli says did exploded in the role to take it to a new level altogether. Seems like luck is on Ramya’s side.
