Why Are Some Celebrities Not Announcing Their Donations officially?

People usually say not to brag about the good you did but sometimes making it public will be helpful. Usually, when people are donating huge sums to the government, it needs to be announced officially as it may inspire other people to come forward and offer their helping hand. Getting help from all ends is quite necessary during crisis times.
But there are a few celebrities in our country who donated generously for fighting against the Corona pandemic but are not willing to announce it. They are silently donating it to the CM or the PM relief funds and are not revealing the amount which they donated. Maybe they wanted to stay away from the limelight.
It is true that some people don't want to publicize the good they did. But there are a few who announced that they donated money but are not giving out the numbers. Nobody knows the reason why. Are they feeling embarrassed to reveal the amounts? Are they fearing that people may think that the donations are less than expected?
