Why Did Mahesh Started Insisting On Bound Scripts?

Mahesh Babu is happy to wait for months or give the directors notice of 6 months to 8 months to complete their scripts and only go with the project once they have them ready.
This is a new development from Mahesh Babu as he used to do any movie from a trustworthy director without listening to the script in advance if he liked the story.
Some stories don't become good scripts and some scripts fail to become good films. Mahesh understood this after he had two flops in Brahmostavam and Spyder.
He revealed, " I heard 20 minutes narrations and few sequences but did not ask for bound script during Brahmostavam and Spyder films.
I understood that they are not going as planned after the movie shoot started and I was nervous through out the filming of the two films. Hence, I decided I will only accept to work with any director if they come up with a bound script.
I declined Sukumar's script because of its high intensity as I did not want to do social message films back to back. I will definitely work with him in future.
I am looking for different characters and fun scripts for next two to three films, before I will again go for an intense film!"
