Why Is Mahesh's Film Releasing So Quickly On OTT?

Superstar Mahesh Babu has declared quite confidently that his recent outing 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' is a huge success at the box office. He even went ahead and danced on stage like never before during the success celebrations held in Kurnool. The producers have been posting huge numbers officially stating that the movie is all set to cross the 200 Cr mark.
But there are some reports from insiders which claim that the situation is far from what is being projected by the makers. The film hasn't even touched the breakeven mark either in the overseas market or the Telugu states. They claim that the collections dropped drastically after the first weekend and it is being replaced gradually. There is no chance of this film picking up with notable films like 'F3' and 'Major' arriving in the next few weeks.
Amidst these two contrasting reports, it has been suggested that the commercial entertainer is all set to release digitally on 24th June in Amazon Prime Video. The team is yet to confirm the OTT release date officially but fans of Mahesh are upset about their film releasing on Prime Video within 45 days of its release. A few netizens are questioning why would a big film release digitally in such a quick time if the movie is running so well in theatres. This is the question that only the makers can answer.
Also, out-and-out commercial entertainers do not get heavy viewership on OTT platforms after the first few days. Let us wait and see how 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' gets received by the audience when it has a digital release.
Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, Ram Achanta and Gopichand Achanta are producing this film under Mythri Movie Makers and 14 Reels Plus banners along with GMB Entertainments. Mahesh's long hair, rupee tattoo on his neck and his stylish dressing are all giving 'Pokiri' vibes to fans. Vennela Kishore, Subbaraju, Samuthirakani and others play key roles. R Madhie handles the cinematography, while Marthand K Venkatesh is the editor and AS Prakash took care of the art department. Ram - Lakshman master composed the fights while Yugandhar is the VFX supervisor. Directed by Parasuram Petla, this film has Keerthy Suresh romancing Mahesh.
