Star actress Samantha has been doing films in Tollywood for the past 12 years and she can converse with everyone in Telugu quite easily. With the help of a little English, she manages to speak in Telugu during interviews, pre-release events and other meetings but dubbing is a whole new game. It is not everyone's cup of tea.
Right from the beginning of her career, it is Chinmayi Sripada who is dubbing for Samantha and people find it difficult to relate to Sam's own voice as they are so accustomed to hearing the singer's voice from the background. Sam's acting and Chinmayi's voice are a perfect match and we have seen what happens when Sam tried to dub for herself in 'U Turn'.
But she dubbed for herself in 'Yashoda' and it is safe to say that the Tamil flavour is clearly audible in her voice. Many people pointed this out and fans were a bit disappointed as well. Now, she recently shared a picture from the dubbing studio and wrote, "Art is my cure to all this madness, sadness and loss of belonging in the world & through it I'll walk myself home."
The visuals on the monitor looks like the footage was shot back in October but her health condition did not allow her to dub for the film back then. With the movie releasing on 17th February, she decided to dub for her part. Since it is a period drama based on Mahabharatha, Telugu will be even more conventional and tough. People are concerned over the fact the Samantha is still trying to dub for herself rather than going for the trusted voice of Chinmayee. Let us see if Samantha manages to surprise the audience or disappoint them.
