'iSmart Shankar' was supposed to release on July 12th, 2019. Makers planned the shooting schedules, post-production work and promotional campaign accordingly. They, however, decided to change the plan because of the ICC World Cup fever.
2019 World Cup Final is going to happen on July 14th. If 'iSmart Shankar' releases on July 12th, Cricket Fever will have a negative impact on the Opening Weekend Revenue. For Puri Jagannath and Charmee, 'iSmart Shankar' is a very crucial project. While Puri is directing and producing the entertainer, Charmee is acting as a Co-Producer. None of the two want to take the risk by releasing the flick ahead of the World Cup final.
