Nothing grabs the attention of the audience more than negative news. But it is not just the negative news the people are interested in. They are interested in knowing the truth and it can be negative at times. There is a reason why negative news spreads more quickly than positive news. Not just the negative news but even rumours catch the public's eye.

The scenario is seen more in the film industry. Starting from dating rumours to film issues, rumours sell more than announcements. This is why the producers and directors are spreading the news as a rumour first and then announcing it officially so that the news gets more attention thereby increasing the buzz on the film. Experts claim that they sometimes release unwanted rumours through their PRO's just to drive media's attention towards the film.

But the same producers and directors posting #KillFakeNews tweets are hilarious as the entire industry runs on gossip. Critics say that no producer quote the actual rates but post fake numbers just to get good rates from the distributors. Things like this don't bother the heroes as they respond to issues only they feel safe about.
