Why Tollywood revenues dropped all of a sudden?

The past 2-and-a-half months have been lucky for Tollywood due to the Summer holidays. The re-opening of schools and colleges from June 2nd week had badly hit the revenues of the all the old and new releases.

Trade Report: Even a classic like Manam is running with deficits in most of the rural areas. However, the film is managing to register decent returns in cities. There willn't be much improvement in the situation till August.

The next big season for Tollywood after Summer would be the Ramzan & Independence Day weekend. Of course, Dussehra, Christmas and Pongal will follow. Producers need to plan the release intelligently to make most out of these seasons.
