Why Were The Premieres Of 'Shaakunthalam' Cancelled?

Star heroine Samantha's mythological film 'Shaakunthalam' is all set to hit the screens on 14th April and the team had promoted the film quite aggressively. Samantha, Gunasekhar and Dil Raju sounded quite confident about the outfit. Believing in their content, they organized special premieres four days ahead of the release.
But the talk was a bit mixed and news started coming out that the premieres were canceled. Adding fuel to these stories, the special screening for the media was also canceled. The rumors of the makers having second thoughts went viral and Gunasekhar decided to clarify it. He claimed that they did not back out of premiere shows and the media screening was canceled only due to technical reasons and nothing more than that.
Apparently, Gunasekhar watched the 3D version of the movie on 10th March along with a few audience and media personnel. He noticed a few issues which he wanted to correct before releasing the film and it is the reason why the premieres were canceled today. He claimed that the screenings at still on in Mumbai and Delhi whereas only Hyderabad shows were canceled.
Music is composed by Mani Sharma while 'Shaakuntalam'. Neelima Guna produced this film while Shekar V Joseph is the cinematographer. Prawin Pudi is the editor while Sai Madhav Burra penned the dialogues. Presented by Dil Raju, Dev Mohan will be seen as Dushyanta. Ananya Nagalla, Aditi Balan, Mohan Babu, Prakash Rah, Gautam, Kabir Bedi, Kabir Singh Duhan and others played key roles.
