Will Acharya take RRR spot?
By: Tupaki Desk | 26 Dec 2021 10:15 AM GMTMegastar Chiranjeevi and Ram Charan are coming together for the first time in a movie, Acharya. Movie is directed by Koratala Siva and he wrote it with his team of writers. Mani Sharma after a gap of 16 years scored music for a Chiranjeevi movie.
Siddha Teaser and Acharya Teaser released for special occasions created huge buzz for the film. The film theatrical release date has been fixed for 4th February 2022. The film shooting was completed long back but honoring Ram Charan's commitment to the RRR team, producers took the decision to release the film post RRR release.
As RRR is a Pan-India film and is aiming to open day-in-day all over India, there are chances of the movie team looking closely at central government and various state governments' decisions regarding containing Omnicorn virus spread in India.
Maharastra government, MP, Bihar and few other states have already announced night curfews and there are restrictions on show timings as well. There could be restrictions imposed on occupancy rates in coming days.
Which means RRR cannot get a wide release or hope for a bigger collection that they are aiming for. Their release plans involve night previews all over India. If they go ahead with the Telugu release plan and release other languages later, that will give piracy websites a chance to spread good copies of the film all over prior to release.
So, there is a remote chance of RRR producers thinking about changing their date. If that happens, Bheemlanayak producers might take that chance and release their movie on the date but we hear Acharya could get preponed from the previous date to take Sankranthi advantage.
Well, looks like a game of musical chairs happening with release dates among the family members, doesn't it?
