Will Adipurush makers announce their new release date?
By: Tupaki Desk | 27 Feb 2022 2:45 PM GMTLaal Singh Chadda starring Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor Khan, directed by Advait Chauhan has been postponed to 11th August 2022. Many claimed that Aamir might stick to 14th April date but 11th August has been finalised by Aamir himself after many discussions with several distributors and producers of KGF Chapter 2 and Adipurush.
KGF Chapter 2 and Beast are now slotted for 14th April Mega clash and both the films will share almost all the screens in India on first day at least as both are eagerly awaited big budget films.
RRR which will release on 25th March might pull up few screens from both from 15th April. With Aamir deciding on to take 11th August date, Prabhas and Kriti Sanon, Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush, which was previously slated to release on that date has to find a new release date.
Om Raut, the director and writer has been aggresive on promoting the film from the day it is announced and finished the shoot at a stretch as well.
Movie is said to be graphics heavy and Prabhas could be seen as playing Lord Rama character with Kriti Sanon as Sita and Saif Ali Khan as Lankesh.
T-Series produced the film and they wanted to stick to 11th August date all the while. Even when Akshay Kumar announced his movie Rakshabandan release on the date, they did not back off.
But for Aamir Khan, they have decided to postpone. Fans and trade circles are waiting for the next release date that the makers are planning to release to the film.
As it is a huge budget film, it will require a free day at the box office and they might look at Diwali. But Diwali date could be reserved for Shah Rukh Khan's comeback film Pathan. The star did not act in any film after 2018 Zero and hence, this one will be eagerly awaited by his fans.
It has all the potential to break opening day records as YRF is the producers and War director Siddharth Anand, directed this movie. It has John Abraham in antagonist role with Deepika Padukone playing leading lady.
Well, hope the makers don't push the movie till Sankranti 2023, as Prabhas's Salaar with Prashanth Neel could be eyeing that date already. Hope the producers will soon take a decision.
