Will Alia Escape That "Sentiment"?
By: Tupaki Desk | 15 March 2020 5:18 AM GMTAlia Bhatt surely got everyone among RRR cast and crew going gaga over her. They have been flooding the social media with special messages on her birthday.
We hear that there are special instructions given to the crew about her special needs and necessities also, it seems. People are being asked to behave in front of her to make it a memorable experience for her.
The hype around her inclusion is also unprecedented. She is being promoted as the best possible thing that could have happened to RRR.
Similar kind of hype was generated around the inclusion of Sharddha Kapoor in the film, Saaho. She was said to be the next big thing in Tollywood and she also expected Saaho to be her biggest hit.
But that wasn't the end result. Telugu people did not like the film or the actress. Now, Alia Bhatt is definitely beautiful and great talent but can she connect with native Telugu audiences?
Also, there is a "sentiment", none of the popular bollywood heroines had successful films in Telugu. May be one song appearances might have worked here and there but they couldn't entertain audiences in full length roles.
Can Alia skip that sentiment and become the one to have a success on her resume even in regional languages? Let's wait and see.
