Will Anudeep Achieve This Record With 'Prince'?

A lot of directors from Tamil have made straight Telugu movies and scored hits. It has been going on for decades. But Telugu directors making straight Tamil movies have been a rarity. There are no directors from Tollywood in the past decade or so who made successful movies in Tamil. But three directors from Telugu are making movies in Kollywood right now.
While the first director is Anudeep KV who became famous with a super hit like 'Jathi Ratnalu'. He is making a complete entertainer with Tamil star hero Siva Karthikeyan. The movie is named 'Prince' and the first look posters were released recently.
Another director is Vamsi Paidipaaly who is making a movie with Thalapathy Vijay. It is produced by Dil Raju and Rashmika Mandanna is the heroine in it. The shooting is currently going on and there are high expectations on it. The last director on the list is Venky Atluri who is famous for his romantic comedies like 'Tholi Prema', 'Mr Majnu' and 'Rang De'. He is making a bilingual titled 'Sir' with Dhanush as the lead. Everyone is curious to know more about this interesting project.
Among these three, it is Anudeep's 'Prince' which is going to arrive first. Set in the backdrop of Pondicherry, the makers have roped in a foreign heroine for 'Prince'. The posters create a positive vibe over this movie and Siva Karthikeyan is also on a roll with back-to-back hits like 'Don' and 'Doctor' which grossed more than 100 crores each.
There is a lot of confidence in 'Prince' among the team and if it becomes a success, Anudeep may end up as the first Telugu director in the last decade or so to score a hit film in Kollywood. Let us wait and see whether it happens or not.
