King Nagarjuna recently scored a super hit with 'Bangarraju'. The film performed exceedingly well despite having 50% occupancy in some areas and a night curfew in Andhra Pradesh. He is riding high on the success of this movie and we all know that he entered small screen long back as a host with 'Evaru Meelo Koteeswarulu'. He is currently the host of the popular reality show 'Bigg Boss' and sources claim that he is all set to enter the OTT world too.
As we know, Balakrishna became a host of an OTT talk show named 'Unstoppable' which was a super hit on 'Aha'. Venkatesh released two of his films like 'Narappa' and 'Drushyam' directly on Amazon Prime and he is currently working on a web series with Rana which will be streamed on Netflix. With his colleagues making their mark on OTT platforms, Nagarjuna is also reportedly showing interest in stepping into the online streaming world.
Apparently, he was approached by Disney + Hotstar team for playing the lead role in a web series. A huge star of Nagarjuna's stature doing a web series might be new in Tollywood but Ajay Devgn is all set to arrive as 'Rudra' on Disney + Hotstar soon. It is a crime drama web series filled with a lot of twists and turns. Raashi Khanna is also playing a crucial part in it.
So, the same OTT platform is aiming to bring another big star hero into the digital world. Apparently, this series will be directed by a newcomer. Nag has a good relationship with Hotstar as his Big Boss and Big Boss OTT stream on this OTT platform.
This web series is expected to be made on a lavish budget by the Hotstar team but others claim that straight Telugu web series like 'Parampara', 'Unheard' and others failed to create a big impact till date. We need to see if Nagarjuna takes up the offer and if he does, will he succeed or not.
