Will The Boycott Culture Affect Liger?

Vijay Deverakonda and Puri Jagannadh pinned a lot of hopes on their film 'Liger'. Vijay is hoping that it would give a major boost to his career and turn it into a pan-Indian hero while Puri Jagannadh is looking to make his way into Bollywood. They spent years on this film and invested a lot. Vijay developed a six-pack body and learned Mixed Martial Arts to get into the skin of the character.

They are promoting this film very heavily and doing everything they can to make it successful. But their biggest concern is the 'Boycott' culture which is affecting a lot of big Bollywood projects lately. Certain sections of the audience are boycotting films that are associated with big families in Bollywood. They are against nepotism and people who encourage left-wing ideology through their films.

As we know, 'Liger' is presented in Hindi by Karan Johar who is referred to as the flag bearer of Nepotism by many. There are a lot of people who are against Karan and they are planning to boycott all the movies from his banner. Hashtags like #BoycottKaranJohar, #BoycottLiger, #BoycottBrahmastra and others are trending in Twitter already. Also, the film's heroine is Ananya Pandey who is often trolled and criticized on social media. She is a product of Nepotism according to many and she faces a lot of heat every time her film releases. Though Vijay Deverakonda has a lot of craze across the nation, these factors are worrying the 'Liger' team a lot. We need to wait and see if the 'Boycott' culture affects this action entertainer or not on 25th August.

Ramya Krishnan will be seen as Vijay's mother while Mike Tyson plays a key role. Vishnu Sarma is the cinematographer, while Kecha from Thailand is the stunt director. Junaid Siddiqui is the editor for 'Liger' which is written and directed by Puri Jagannadh. As we know, 'Liger' is coming out in Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam languages.
