She got a lot of recognition for 'Color Photo' and went on to act in a couple of films that came out in theatres as well as on OTT platforms directly. Her last outing was 'Sammathame' where she romanced Kiran Abbavaram. The film did not get a positive talk and came out on 'Aha' too.
Though she revealed that there are a few projects in the pipeline, they are not notable films. Not just Chandini but many Telugu beauties from the current generation are facing this project. Till the late 90s, there used to be a lot of Telugu star heroines like Jayaprada, Jayasudha, Roja, Rambha, Raashi and others. We all know, the level of stardom actresses like Savitri, Kanchanamala, Jamuna and others enjoyed in the 60s and 70s.
But the situation completely changed over the past two decades. There is not a single heroine from Telugu who made it to the top. The only star heroines we remember are either North beauties like Kajal, Tamanna, Arti Agarwal, Sonali Bendre, Ileana D'Cruz and actresses from other parts in South India like Nayanthara, Trisha, Pooja Hegde, Rashmika Mandanna, Anushka, Keerthy Suresh and many others.
No one knows the reason why Telugu heroines are not being preferred in Telugu movies nowadays. Many are hoping that her career would get a huge boost since her 'Color Photo' bagged a National Award. Let us wait and see what happens.
