Srikanth Addala is a director who is known for his family-friendly films with a good message. He showed his ability with his debut film 'Kotha Bangaru Lokam'. The film was a huge success and his second film took six years but 'Seethamma Vaakitlo Sirimalle Chettu' is a film that stayed with everyone. The emotions connected with everyone and his third film 'Mukunda' did decently too. It was the launch of Varun Tej as a hero.
But the trouble began when Addala decided to make 'Brahmotsavam'. This film which came out in 2016 was a huge disaster. He made this film on a huge budget with stellar cast. The film did not get good collections and Srikanth Addala was bashed by every critic for making a film without a clear story. He faced a lot of criticism and he had to wait for another five years to get an opportunity.
After a long gap, he was offered to remake 'Asuran' as 'Narappa' in Telugu. This Venkatesh starrer had a good buzz around it and everyone thought that Addala would be back to form. But the film was forced to release in OTT and the director got completely ignored. The film was a Xerox copy of 'Asuran' and there was no chance for Addala to showcase his ability.
Now, his future is in a dilemma as no big hero is eager to work with him. There is a talk that Sharwanand was approached by Addala but we need to see if this talented director gets another chance or not.
