Telugu films are always known for their grand making standards and commercial storytelling while Mollywood is famous for its innovative and artistic approach. Films in Kerala mostly focus on the story which is why they come up with such interesting concepts.
Recently we have heard two big production houses of Tollywood buying the remake rights of two small budget Malayalam films. This explains how innovative their storylines are. In the past too, we have remade many Malayalam films. Even star heroes there are open to new concepts. Tollywood is also changing nowadays but there is still a long way to go.
Malayali films are able to make films in a small budget and get big hits. Considering the lockdown effect on the film industry, Tollywood bigwigs are feeling that it is time for us to follow the Mollywood style and make films with interesting concepts on a reasonable budget and get good returns. Let us wait and see if it happens or not.
