"We have been demanding the shifting of the liquor vend as most of the men, especially youngsters, are being harmed. It is located in the vicinity of a temple and a school," said Satya Galoda, who belongs to the Dugha panchayat.
She said the women have been staging the protest since Monday as the government has failed to relocate the vend.
The protesters have threatened to block national highway-88 in protest.
Deputy Commissioner Ashish Singhmar said the administration was trying to sort the issue amicably. "The owner has sought time to shift the liquor vend," he added.
