Hrithik-Kangana row isn't a Gender War: Yami
By: Tupaki Desk | 10 Oct 2017 11:08 AM GMTAfter Filmmaker-turned-Actor Farhan Akhtar, Yami Gautam responded on the never ending controversy involved by Hrithik Roshan and Kangana Ranaut. She claims to be not reacting as a Co-Star or Friend of Hrithik but as a woman and someone who is concerned about the country.
Yami Gautam: 'Some how, the tussle has turned into a gender war and a certain faction of the society already declared the man guilty. People assume since he is a man, he must be the person who is guilty'.
The 'Kaabil' Actress advised both the Stars to settle the matter in the court rather than on public platforms. 'The police is investigating, both the parties can represent themselves in court. Let's not make it into a fight between genders. Let's keep it as a fight between two people. Let the facts be unearthed and until then, let's reserve our judgements,' she says.
Yami cautioned that making everything a gender issue can easily distract us from addressing legit sexist issues that plague our society.
