Young Mega hero Panjaa Vaisshnav Tej has scored a massive blockbuster right with his debut outing 'Uppena'. This emotional love story struck the right chords with the audience and it grossed over 100 crores as per the makers which is quite commendable. After selecting such an emotional love story with a bold ending as his debut film, one expects him to play it safe and bank on the success.
But he came up with 'Konda Polam' last year and he was seen as a youngster from the shepherd community. The film is a drama that revolves around the hardships faced by his community. The film did not work well at the box office but he was lauded for his unique script selection.
Now, he is acting in a light-hearted love story named 'Ranga Ranga Vaibhavanga' which will be arriving in July. Directed by GIreesaya, Ketika Sharma is the heroine in this project produced by BVSN Prasad. Heroes who come from big families try to get a commercial hero image but Vaisshnav is proving to be different from the rest.
The youngster is selecting interesting scripts and sticking to concept-oriented movies instead of taking the mass route. Mega family is known for churning out mass heroes like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Ram Charan, Allu Arjun and others. Even Sai Dharam Tej has a decent following in the masses.
But Vaisshnav decided not to take up regular subjects. Let us wait and see where his script selection takes him in terms of his acting career.
