According to reports, Ashu Reddy filed a petition in the High Court asking to cancel, or “quash,” the FIR registered by the police. She claimed that the police filed the case without even listening to her side of the story. She also said that the complaint was made only to damage her reputation and image in public.
The case was registered after a complaint from a man’s family in Hyderabad. They alleged that Ashu Reddy had promised to marry their son, who is a software engineer living in London. Based on this promise, they claimed that he spent a huge amount of money on her over several years. The complaint states that the money was used to buy expensive items like cars, gold, and even flats, which were reportedly registered in her name.
The total amount mentioned in the complaint is said to be more than Rs 9 crore. Because of the seriousness of the allegations, the police registered the case under strict sections, including non-bailable charges. This means that getting bail in the case may not be easy.
The complaint also includes allegations against Ashu Reddy’s family members. It is said that her sister was also involved in taking a large amount of money and not returning it.
However, Ashu Reddy has strongly denied all the allegations. She stated that there is no truth in the claims and that the case is completely false. She believes that the FIR was filed unfairly and without proper investigation.
Now, all eyes are on the Telangana High Court. The court’s decision on her petition will be very important. It will decide whether the case will continue or be dismissed. The hearing is expected to take place soon, and the outcome will play a key role in this high-profile issue.
