Sivakarthikeyan's much-anticipated movie 'Ayalaan' has been in the works for a considerable period and is finally gearing up for release during the festive occasion of Pongal. Following the recent audio launch, the film's trailer has been unveiled, giving audiences a peek into its storyline.

The trailer introduces Sivakarthikeyan as Raghu, a young man from a small town who holds a unique belief that the world isn't solely meant for humans but also for smaller creatures like insects and worms. Conflicting viewpoints arise, notably from the film's antagonist, portrayed by Sharad Kelkar. However, an extraterrestrial being, hesitant to be labeled as an 'alien,' surprisingly resonates with Sivakarthikeyan's perspective. This creature also believes the need to safeguard the planet, cautioning about potential catastrophic consequences if humanity neglects its responsibility.

Set against the backdrop of a rural area in Tamil Nadu, the trailer showcases the sudden appearance of an alien, profoundly surprising Raghu. As the narrative progresses, it depicts Raghu's journey of acceptance towards this otherworldly being, eventually joining forces to protect Earth from a grave threat.

Furthermore, the trailer balances the film's serious themes of climate change with comedic sequences, ensuring an engaging viewing experience. Adding to the excitement, AR Rahman's musical prowess permeates throughout the trailer. Directed by R Ravikumar, known for the time-travel adventure 'Indru Netru Naalai' (2015), 'Ayalaan' promises an enjoyable blend of action and humor.

The sci-fi comedy boasts a stellar cast including Rakul Preet Singh, Karunakaran, Yogi Babu, Sharad Kelkar, Isha Koppikar, David Broughton-Davies, Banupriya, and features Siddharth lending his voice to the alien character. Nirav Shah handles cinematography, with Ruben in charge of editing. Scheduled for a theatrical release on January 12, the film is produced by 24 AM Studios.”
