The movie’s shooting is currently taking place in Meghalaya, also known as the Land of Clouds. Interestingly, this is the first-ever film to be shot completely in Meghalaya by making it a proud moment for the state and its beautiful landscapes.
The story of Baa Baa Black Sheep happens over just one day and revolves around guns, gold, and a thrilling hunt involving six characters. Speaking about the film, producer Venu Donepudi shared that the story needed a location full of charm and diversity. “Our story is set in the northeast, and we decided to shoot the entire film here in Meghalaya. The region offers amazing scenery, including waterfalls, mountains and unique landscapes,” he said.
The film is mainly being shot in Sohra (Cherrapunji), one of the wettest places in the world and a popular tourist destination. The breathtaking beauty of this place is expected to add great visual appeal to the film. To make the production smoother, the makers have also teamed up with the Government of Meghalaya for full support.
Recently, Honorable Chief Minister Conrad K. Sangma met the film’s team, congratulated them, and promised to extend every possible help to ensure the shooting goes on without any issues. This collaboration is expected to boost film tourism in the state and open doors for more filmmakers to explore the scenic northeastern region.
Baa Baa Black Sheep features a talented ensemble cast including Tinnu Anand, Upendra Limaye, George Marian, Raja Ravindra, Akshay Lagusani, Vishnu Oi, Karthikeya Dev, Kasyap, Vismaya, Malvi Malhotra and Samriddhi Aryal in key roles.
