Like a seasoned performer stepping onto a familiar stage, Balakrishna's presence at IIFA promises to electrify the celebration of Indian cinema. Fresh off the success of his talk show Unstoppable and the film Daaku Maharaaj, which grossed over ₹100 crores worldwide, Balakrishna is currently filming Akhanda 2: Thandavam, directed by Boyapati Sreenu, slated for release on September 25, 2025.
The "Legend" actor is confirmed to attend IIFA's Grand Silver Jubilee, scheduled for March 8-9, 2025, in Jaipur, Rajasthan. IIFA 2025 promises to be a grand celebration of Indian cinema, bringing together the biggest names from the industry. Balakrishna has previously been honored at the IIFA Utsavam 2024 with the Golden Legacy Award.
Balakrishna's presence is sure to add to the event’s grandeur. An elected member of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly from Hindupuram constituency since 2014, Balakrishna is known for his extensive filmography and contributions to Telugu cinema. He has received three state Nandi Awards, three SIIMA Awards, and an IIFA Award. In 2012, he was the chief guest at the 43rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI).
