Weekend: Tamil Films Average Talk, Telugu Film Poor Talk
However, despite the fact that Dhurandhar 2 is not allowing other films to breathe, including Ustaad, some small films have hit cinemas this weekend. Let’s have a look at them.

However, despite the fact that Dhurandhar 2 is not allowing other films to breathe, including Ustaad, some small films have hit cinemas this weekend. Let’s have a look at them.
There are three new small films available right now to catch up in theatres across the Telugu state, and the first one among them is the Telugu original “Band Melam”. The film got released the other day and got poor reviews, with movie critics slamming the amateurish writing and making of the movie. It features “Court” movie fame Harsh Roshan and Sridevi in the leads, and the film sounded like an attempt to cash in on the craze of that combo. But it looks like the film will be a complete washout by the weekend itself.
Then came two Tamil dubbed films, Happy Raj featuring GV Prakash and Youth featuring Ken Karunaas in the lead. Surprisingly, though these films got a good talk in Tamil Nadu, they got average to below average talk in the Telugu states. GV Prakash’s movie Happy Raj, which features Telugu girl Sri Gouri Priya Reddy as the female lead, has received average ratings due to its routine ‘young couple, getting married’ kind of content. Ken Karunaas’ Youth movie is more of a school-age love story, and many scenes are said to be boring, except for some emotional highs. The comedy also didn’t appeal to the Telugu audience, as per early talk.
However, there are audiences for the two Tamil films, with a belief that Tamil movies are a bit better when it comes to amateurish comedies, while Band Melam is completely over the top.
