The tragic stampede incident at Sandhya Theater, where a woman named Revathi lost her life while attending the premiere of Pushpa 2: The Rule starring Allu Arjun, has caused widespread concern. Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy addressed the matter during a media interaction on Friday. He expressed deep sorrow over the incident and offered condolences to Revathi’s family.

The minister criticized the circumstances leading to the tragedy and questioned the timing of the hero's appearance at the theater, suggesting that such actions can escalate crowd control issues. He made a significant announcement that permission for benefit shows will no longer be granted to prevent such unfortunate incidents in the future.

The minister called for compensation of ₹25 lakhs to be provided to the victims and urged the producers and Allu Arjun to step forward and assist the grieving family. However, this move will now be affecting the upcoming Sankranthi releases.

Mega Powerstar Ram Charan's Gamechanger is scheduled for release on January 10th, followed by Balakrishna's Daku Maharaj and Venkatesh's Sankranthi Ki Vastunnam. At least two of these films will opt for special shows. Given the current situation, it will affect these Sankranthi releases badly.

Gamechanger is being made on a big budget and it is beneficial if the film have premieres. However, we have to see if the situation changes.
