The National Award winning Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari has suddenly returned to the spotlight on OTT platforms, thanks to the growing buzz around the upcoming Tamil film Jana Nayagan. Though Bhagavanth Kesari released earlier, fresh discussions on social media have pushed it back into public attention.

The trailer of Jana Nayagan starring Vijay, was released recently and quickly became a trending topic online. Many viewers felt that certain scenes and emotional moments looked similar to Bhagavanth Kesari which featured Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role. These comparisons sparked curiosity especially among Tamil audiences.

As a result, viewers started revisiting Bhagavanth Kesari on Amazon Prime Video. The film began climbing the OTT charts in the drama category. Within a short time, it moved from the second position to the number one spot.

The film is scheduled for a theatrical release on January 9, 2026, during the festive season. It will also be released in Telugu under the title Jana Nayakudu.
