The new season of the popular Bigg Boss franchise has started across different Indian languages. The latest seasons of the Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Bangla versions are bringing together popular celebrities, interesting contestants and plenty of entertainment.

While viewers mainly focus on the contestants and their fights inside the house, the hosts have also become an important part of the show. Many of the hosts are among the biggest stars in Indian cinema and television. Because of their popularity, they reportedly receive huge amounts for hosting the reality show.

Among all the hosts, Salman Khan continues to be one of the biggest earners. He has been associated with Bigg Boss Hindi since Season 4. According to reported figures, Salman earns around Rs 200 crore for an entire season. His payment is said to be Rs 15 crore or more for a weekend appearance.

The regional versions also have highly paid hosts. Former Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly is hosting Bigg Boss Bangla Season 3. His reported package is said to be more than Rs 125 crore.

In Tamil, Vijay Sethupathi is hosting the show after Kamal Haasan. He reportedly charges around Rs 3-4 crore for every weekend and may earn nearly Rs 75-80 crore during the season.

Telugu superstar Nagarjuna has also seen a major rise in his Bigg Boss earnings. When he started hosting the Telugu version in 2019, his reported fee was around Rs 10 crore. By 2025, it had reportedly increased to nearly Rs 35 crore.

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who has hosted the show from its first season, reportedly earns close to Rs 30 crore per season. Interestingly, he is said to shoot for only around 20 days for the show.

Kiccha Sudeep is another highly paid regional host. His reported fee for Bigg Boss Kannada is around Rs 20 crore, with about Rs 2 crore said to be paid for each weekend episode.

The huge fees show how valuable the Bigg Boss franchise has become. The show has also attracted more than 95 sponsors across its six language editions this season.
