Bigg Boss Telugu Lands In Trouble As Complaint Filed In Jubilee Hills
The complaint says the show highlights people who, according to them, don’t set the right example.
By: Shanaz B Syed | 16 Oct 2025 4:41 PM ISTTelevision is like a funhouse mirror sometimes, it shows things, but not always clearly. That’s the feeling five youngsters from Gajwel had about Bigg Boss Telugu. Kammari Srinivas, Ravinder Reddy, Sukumar Reddy, Chandra Shekhar, and Srinivas went straight to the Jubilee Hills police station with a complaint, saying the show is sending the wrong message, especially to youth. They’ve called out the organizers and even host Nagarjuna, asking for action.
The complaint says the show highlights people who, according to them, don’t set the right example. They called out contestants like Divvela Madhuri and Ritu Chowdhury, asking why such participants are chosen. The youths think these choices embarrass society and give the wrong idea to viewers. Basically, they feel the show is more about drama than any kind of real value.
They want the government to step in and either stop the show or at least regulate it. The group also warned that if nothing is done, they might team up with women’s organizations and other public groups to protest outside the Bigg Boss house. They pointed to Karnataka as an example, where reality shows faced bans for similar reasons. The complaint also asks senior actors like Nagarjuna to focus on shows that at least teach or entertain in a way that doesn’t upset social values.
Police are investigating and will decide the next steps soon. The complaint has sparked online debate, some feel the show crosses the line, while others say viewers should judge for themselves. Either way, it’s raising questions about how much reality TV can push without creating real problems.
