Animal Villain Is Turning Highly Ineffective!

Bollywood star Bobby Deol is almost out of work in the Hindi industry, but then the OTT platforms started to offer him some good roles. However, all those roles aren’t winning him attention among Gen Z. Then came Sandeep Vanga’s “Animal”, a film that made him a cult in the eyes of the young generation. Then came Netflix series like “Bads of Bollywood”, which made him more popular. Here comes the twist, though.

Down South, no matter how many movies he’s been cast as a villain in, the role is turning out to be highly ineffective. We have seen Bobby Deol as Aurangazeb in Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veeramallu, and then as a pirate lord in Suriya’s Kanguva, and both turned out to be ineffective. Now comes Vijay’s Jana Nayagan, where he played Don John Himler, and it’s funny amongst all the roles he played so far. The same tropes like classy, stylish, donnish, all these things are looking silly, and many are surprised as to why directors are casting him in such ineffective roles.

In recent times, the only relief for Bobby Deol is Anurag Kashyap’s Bandar movie, where his performance got hailed by critics. Otherwise, Bobby is not some proven actor with immense acting prowess, but always known for his looks, charms and body language, being the son of yesteryear superstar Dharmendra. We have to see if directors improve his roles, or if the actor himself picks some better ones.
