Buchi Babu spills the secret behind Peddi’s cricket shot

Ram Charan's much-awaited movie Peddi has already got everyone talking, especially after the exciting first glimpses that dropped online. Released on Sri Ram Navami, the footage gave fans a sneak peek into Charan’s intense mass avatar, leaving everyone hooked. In the clip, Charan delivers a fiery dialogue in the distinctive Uttarandhra dialect, teasing: “You have to do something while you are on the ground... What are you doing again?”

However, it was the cricket shot in the teaser that stole the spotlight. Curious fans were quick to ask who came up with this unique move. Director Buchi Babu recently revealed that the shot was designed by fight master Navakanth, crediting him for the innovative idea.

Reflecting on the film's journey, Buchi Babu shared that the concept of Peddi came to him during the pandemic. After completing the script, he pitched the idea to Sukumar, who encouraged him to share it with Ram Charan. Charan loved the story and the character, which led to the film’s production. According to Buchi, Charan will play the role of a laborer, adding yet another layer to his versatile career.
