For the past few years, people have been highly curious about what Rebel Star Prabhas and talented filmmaker Nag Ashwin are creating. With the release date of 'Kalki 2898 AD' approaching quick and fast. They are releasing one update after the other and are giving us a peek into the world they have built. Produced by Ashwini Dutt, Priyanka Dutt and Swapna Dutt, the makers have cleverly decided to give details about the backdrop of the film through an animated series rather than releasing the actual footage.

After launching the special vehicle of Prabhas aka Bhairava in a grand manner, they have tied up with Amazon Prime Video and come up with an animated series. The first two episodes of this series have been released and the rest will follow. Set in the year 2896 AD, 'B & B' does not reveal about the actual story that is going to take place but gives us an idea of way the society functions.

We can see that everyone operates through exchanging units through a gadget on their wrist instead of money. Also, there is a divide in society where people with more money can enter the 'Complex'. We can see Bhairava trying to catch criminals with bounties on their heads in order to get more units that will enable him to go to the complex. Also, there is a group called 'Rebels' that steal goods from the establishment and serve the poor. They attack the transport vehicles of the establishment in order to get what they want.

In the first two episodes, we can see the atmosphere and vibe of the world 'Kalki 2898 AD' is set in. The backstory of Bhairava is not given much in the first two episodes. He is seen as a happy-go-lucky guy who aims to reach the complex by getting more money. He owes money to a lot of people in the area and doesn't even pay rent to the house he lives in. Brahmanandam dubs for the house owner's character and their funny banter is quite engaging. We need to see if his character will be present in the movie too or not.

Coming to the animated series, they are short 15-minute episodes. They won't bore you at any point and the effort of animators is clearly visible. They did a fine job and how Bhairava and Bujji who are at a low point in life come together is established well. The makers designed the characters and situations in a very hilarious manner. Though we cannot expect the same level of fun in the movie, it is good to hear the comedy timing of Prabhas through this series. Keerthy Suresh's voice is perfect as well. The adventures will begin in the coming episodes as the first two mostly covered Bhairava and Bujji forming a partnership in order to achieve their own ambitions. Let us see how the upcoming episodes are going to be and how they benefit the movie which releases on 27th June.
