Bunny Vas Lost More Than ₹6 Crores On That Project

Tollywood producer Bunny Vas is busy promoting his last week’s release, horror film Eesha, and is holding lots of activities to hold attention around the movie. At the same time, in various interviews, he’s sharing a lot of updates as well regarding his next movies and past projects.

One such interaction resulted in Bunny Vas talking about his much hyped project, Mithra Mandali, which the producer felt would do exceptionally well at the box office. Despite all the anticipation, the film failed to click and was labelled as a dud on Day 1 itself, with the producer rumoured to be losing around ₹20 crores. Bunny Vas has now given clarity on that.

Bunny Vas shared that when he had watched the film earlier in the editing suite, he felt that it would work big time at the Box Office. But later, when he watched the same with the audience, people did not laugh at places where he thought they would laugh. That led to the film’s underperformance at the box office, but then confirmed that he had lost around ₹6 crores on the film.

Well, he later emphasised that this loss has made him refine his choices over the selection of movies, and the changing box office dynamics made him learn the importance of a film’s content and marketing strategy.
