Thandel Piracy: Bunny Vas Going Very Serious!

As we had reported multiple times in the recent past piracy has become a huge headache for the Telugu film industry in recent times. Earlier we saw Game Changer getting affected by piracy and it had a curbing effect on the theatrical market.

Now something similar has happened with Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi’s Thandel. This film has also fallen and prey to piracy as the HD link of the film was uploaded on piracy websites. Shockingly enough, the piracy version was even played at an APSRTC bus recently, and this came to the attention of producer Bunny Vas.

Bunny Vas is extremely serious with this incident as he tweeted “ We have come to know that an @apsrtc bus (Service No: 3066) played a pirated version of our #Thandel. This is not only illegal and outrageous but also a blatant insult to the countless individuals who worked tirelessly to bring this film to life. The movie is the dream of artists, the director, and the producers. I urge APSRTC Chairman #KonakallaNarayanaRao Garu to take strict action and set a strong example to ensure that such incidents never happen again”.

The producer has resorted to aggressive measures against the piracy as he vows not to leave anyone who is behind this operation.

Bunny Vas had even called for a press meet later in the day today and he will be addressing the piracy topic in front of the media. He will be addressing the media on this matter at 3 in the afternoon today and more details will emerge correspondingly.

This is the kind of proactive approach that is expected from a producer who is affected by piracy. For some odd reason, producers were largely lethargic with their approach against this piracy topic till now, but things are slowly starting to change with this approach taken by Bunny Vas. More details will emerge once the press meet called by the leading producer is completed today.
