These title fights in Tollywood just keep popping up out of nowhere. First, it was the Jr NTR–Prashanth Neel team wanting Dragon, but the Tamil movie already tried to grab it; but later they had to tweak it and release it as 'Enter the Dragon' in Telugu and move on. And now, before people even got over that, another headache landed. Just three days back, SS Rajamouli and Superstar Mahesh Babu proudly revealed their film’s title Varanasi at Ramoji Film City. Fans jumped in with excitement, some even said the title felt grand, and then, boom, the problem rolled in later.

Turns out Varanasi was already sitting with director CH Subba Reddy. He had even put out a poster earlier under Ramabrahma Hanuma Creations. His team has now filed an official complaint in the Film Chamber, saying they registered the title first with Durga Arts. Producer Vijay K from Rama Brahmam Creations also spoke out, directly accusing Rajamouli’s side of just taking the title without even checking. It’s not a small confusion; it looks like a proper fight waiting to happen.

Right now, Rajamouli’s camp and Mahesh Babu haven’t said a single word. People are waiting to see if both teams will sit down and sort it, or if this will drag on like so many title issues we’ve seen before. Tollywood loves its unexpected dramas, and this one came right on schedule.

Meanwhile, promotions for the Varanasi film are already speeding ahead. Mahesh Babu, Priyanka Chopra and Prithviraj are busy giving interviews all over, and Priyanka is dropping updates online. So the movie is moving forward confidently, but the title issue is sitting there like an unanswered text message, everyone knows it’s there, nobody wants to touch it yet.
