By: Tupaki Desk | 1 Feb 2025 11:28 AMThandel happens to be the costliest and also most anticipated film in Naga Chaitanya’s career. The film is set for release on February 7, and the makers are actively promoting the same on multiple mediums. As a part of the promotional campaign, the team sat down with a Telugu media for an interview and here is what they had to say the same.
In this interview, Chaitanya said he had to work the extra bit harder to make it happen for this film as it was a tough and challenging experience from start to end.
“Right at the fundamental level, this film was always going to be a challenging and rewarding experience for me. Even speaking about the characters, I am completely different from the Raju character that I played. I know nothing about the life of the fishermen and their culture. This is the reason why I went to the Srikakulam fisheries region and spend time with the local families. I got to know more about them and their lifestyles to get a better understanding of the nature of the film.” Chaitanya said.
Chaitanya is usually a calm and composed person who doesn’t appear to stress too much. So going through, so much physical stress and mental pressure for this film should have been a new experience for him.
Director Chandoo Mondeti said Sai Pallavi is the first person to know about this script as producers. Allu Aravind and Vasu sent it to her during the Covid period. She had a few doubts about this then and questioned about the same, which resulted to the shaping up of this script in the way that it is today.
It is further added that this film is entirely based on real incidents and certain cinematic effects are added to make it more appealing for the theatrical audience. However, the theme is true to the real incidents, and there will be exciting moments from start to end.
