Director Chandoo Mondeti’s upcoming movie Thandel is all set to hit theatres on February 7th, and the team is going all out with promotions. The trailer has already been launched in three major cities Hyderabad for Telugu, Chennai for Tamil, and Mumbai for Hindi. In a recent interview, Mondeti took the opportunity to reflect on his previous film Karthikeya-2, which was made on a budget of 15 crores and went on to collect a whopping 120 crores worldwide.
Chandoo Mondeti made his directorial debut with Karthikeya, starring Nikhil. It was a hit, establishing him as a promising talent. Mondeti made a powerful comeback with Karthikeya-2, a massive pan-India success. Now, after the success of the sequel, he is gearing up for his next venture, Thandel, starring Naga Chaitanya and Sai Pallavi.
During the promotion of Thandel, Mondeti shared exciting news about Karthikeya-3. He revealed, "I’ll start work on Karthikeya-3 as soon as Thandel is completed. I know the responsibility I have after Karthikeya-2. Part Three will be on a whole new level. I have a wonderful concept ready, and I’ve already finished location hunting for it. This third instalment will focus on Lord Krishna. After the success of Karthikeya-2, I’ve seen children asking about Krishna and Govardhan Giri. It’s heartwarming, and I’m excited to explore our roots, culture, and mythology in this film."
