In an unfortunate event, veteran Telugu actor Chandra Mohan breathed his last at a private hospital. The senior actor had a glorious career that lasted for a few decades. He had the opportunity to see the industry pass from the black-and-white era to colour to the current era.

His demise is a big shock to the industry. Members of the film fraternity are mourning his death and are recalling their fond memories with him. One after the other the industry personalities and reacting to the sad news.

As per the media reports Chandra Mohan’s last rites will be held on Monday in Hyderabad. His family members are said to be making the required arrangements for the last rites.

It is said that Chandra Mohan has been suffering from heart-related ailments for some time and he is under treatment. He was taken to the hospital this morning at around 8:00 am. He breathed his last at 9.45 am leaving the industry in shock.

Talking about his family, he is survived by wife Jalandhara, and two daughters. While one daughter is settled in Chennai the other daughter is settled in the United States. As it takes time for the daughter to come here the last rites are slated to commence on Monday, reports say.

Chandra Mohan has relatives in the industry. Legendary director K Viswanath is his cousin and veteran singer Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam aka SPB is his other cousin. Chandra Mohan’s nephew Sivalenka Krishna Prasad is a senior producer. He bankrolled films like Aditya 369,Vamsanikokkadu,Nani Gentleman,Sammohanam and Samantha starrer Yashoda.

Chandra Mohan’s acting career started in 1966 with Rangula Ratnam. He acted with NTR, ANR, and the next-generation actors Krisha and Krishnam Raju. The veteran actor also acted with Chiranjeevi, Balakrishna, Venkatesh, Nagarjuna, and the current generation of Superstars.
