On Day 1, Chenna Love Story collected ₹12.3 crores from the box office, including the worldwide premieres that were screened a day earlier. Going by the trends on Book My Show, it looks like the film is going to hold huge attention on Saturday and Sunday also.

Guess what, even the amazing smashing hit “Baby” opened to only ₹7 crores of gross on Day 1, and now the collection of “Chennai Love Story” is almost double that. Staying true to the narrative, keeping the ticket prices low and not promising anything over the board actually makes the film ChennaI Love Story work out at the box office. Looks like the first weekend is going to be humongous for the movie.
