47 Glorious Years Of Chiranjeevi: What A Legend!

On September 22, 1978, Chiranjeevi first appeared on the big screen with the film Pranam Khareedu. Today marks 47 years of his journey in Telugu cinema, a journey that made him the “Megastar” and the heartbeat of millions of fans.

Although Punadhirallu is often called his debut, audiences first saw him in Pranam Khareedu, directed by K. Vasu and produced by Kranthi Kumar.

From small roles in the beginning, Chiranjeevi’s big breakthrough came in 1983 with Khaidi. This film turned him into a mass hero, winning love and admiration across the Telugu states.
